As with every private school, the BMS Parents Association must depend upon the generosity of our parents to fund all of our events and programs. Fortunately, we don't need you to search between your couch cushions to find lost change -- instead, we can make the most of the money you spend every day. Through eScrip, paper Scrip, Amazon, and eScrip recycling, we tap fund available in the community when you do your grocery shopping, your holiday shopping, and your electronic recycling.

eScrip

SCRIP is a vehicle through which merchants donate a percentage of sales to schools and other non-profits. It is a painless way for us to raise thousands of dollars for BMS. Each time you buy something at a participating merchant, the merchant contributes to the school.

At eScrip, register your credit cards, debit cards, and grocery club cards. Each time you use a registered card at a participating store (such as Safeway, Andronico's, Whole Foods, and Macy's) or shop online, the merchant pays a percentage of the sale (between 2% and 18% , depending on the store) to the BMS Parents Association. There is no fee to register.

Paper Scrip

Buy paper scrip from BMS, and use it like a gift certificate when you make purchases from local grocery stores or specialty merchants. The Parents Association purchases the scrip at a discount from the merchants, then sells it to you at face value -- BMSPA receives the difference.

Paper Scrip is available for:

Berkeley Bowl in $ 20 increments. BMS Parents Association receives 4%
Market Hall in $ 10 increments. BMS Parents Association receives 5%
Peet's Coffee in $ 20 increments. BMS Parents Association receives 8%

Use the scrip order form, and drop your order and payment in the BMS Parents Association box at either campus (in the El/MS office or on the ECC Art Room wall). Orders placed by Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. will be ready for pickup at the campus you designate by the following Monday at 8:30 a.m.

Go to www.ShopWithScrip and register as a member. The BMS Parents Association enrollment code is 8278B8F514581, which you will need to complete your enrollment. Place your order for paper scrip and gift cards from hundreds of other national and specialty retailers! Print your order form and drop it, along with your payment, in the BMS Parents Association box at either campus (in the El/MS office or on the ECC Art Room wall). Amazon supports BMS

If you access Amazon through this website, and complete your purchase before moving to another site, the BMS Parents Association will receive a 2% - 5% rebate on most produts (books, housewares, electronics) sold by Amazon.

eScrip Recycling!

Drop your used toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, and cell phones in the drop boxes located on each campus. The BMS Parents Association receives cash for each recycled item. AND as part of the Recycle Rewards Program, for every $ 250 in recycling we earn between now at August 31, 2008, we have the chance to earn vouchers for electronic equipment for the school! Collect the toner cartridges at your home and office to help us earn more!
