Director of Development

Berkeley Montessori School is looking for a dynamic, experienced Director of Development to join our administrative team. The successful candidate will have superb people and communication skills, and be flexible, collaborative, and creative in their approach to their work. As BMS Director of Development, you will provide leadership in every aspect of fundraising: annual fund, planned giving, and major gift campaigns, including the establishment of an endowment. You'll plan and direct the efforts to galvanize all segments of our community to help them understand and act upon the need for school philanthropy. You'll coordinate efforts to seek corporate, foundation, and community grants, and be comfortable with the software and technological tools necessary for your work. You will work collaboratively with the rest of the school administration and with the Development Committee, comprised of Board members, parents, and selected volunteers.
