Berkeley Montessori School embraces and reflects the widely diverse community we're part of. We welcome families of every racial, ethnic and religious origin, and we are sensitive to socioeconomic and gender-identity issues. Among the many parent education events we've sponsored have been ones specifically for adoptive and LGBT parents. We cast a wider net than most independent schools in the type of students we admit, accepting students of all learning styles and educational histories, if we believe they can succeed at BMS. We're proud of our robust financial aid program, which seeks to ensure that qualified students aren't precluded from attending our school for financial reasons.
